Mana is an educational platform. We're not regulated by the FCA and nothing here is a personal recommendation. Everything you see (ETF illustrations, goal projections, quiz results, AI responses) is general information to help you learn. Before investing, please do your own research and consider speaking to a regulated financial adviser.

Download the Trading 212 app or go to trading212.com. Tap "Create account." Enter your email and set a strong password.
You'll be asked for basic personal details: name, date of birth, address, National Insurance number, employment status, and annual income. This is standard KYC (Know Your Customer), and all regulated platforms require it.
Trading 212 will ask you to verify your identity using a photo of your passport or driving licence, plus a selfie. The app handles this in a couple of minutes. Most accounts are approved instantly; some take up to a few hours.
This is important. Trading 212 has two main account types: the regular investing account and the CFD (Contracts for Difference) account. CFDs are leveraged trading instruments. They're speculative, high-risk, and not what you want.
When you open your account, select the Stocks & Shares ISA. If you're prompted to try the CFD account, ignore it and go back to the ISA.
Go to "Add funds" in the app. You can use a debit card (instant) or bank transfer (1–2 working days). Start with whatever you're comfortable with. Even £10 works.
Tap the search icon. Type ISWD. The full name is "iShares MSCI World Islamic UCITS ETF." Tap on it to open the product page.
Check that you're looking at the correct share class. The price is in GBP and the exchange is the London Stock Exchange (LSE). ISWD trades in pence, so a quoted price of 651 means £6.51 per unit.
Tap "Buy." Enter your amount: you can enter by value (e.g., £50) rather than by units, thanks to fractional shares. Review the order summary and confirm. That's it. You now own halal ETF units in your ISA.
Tap the three dots or "Invest" menu on ISWD and look for "Recurring investment" or "AutoInvest." Set the amount (e.g., £50), choose the date (we suggest the 1st of the month, or the day after your payday), and confirm.
Now it happens automatically. You don't have to remember to invest. The money moves before you've had a chance to spend it.
Most people read 10 articles about investing and never actually do it. You've just done the thing. Check back in 3–6 months to see how it's growing. Don't check daily.
